表示"宁愿, 宁可" 的几个词

would rather, had rather,would sooner，had sooner 都表示"宁愿"、"宁可"的意思。请注意：除了疑问句之外，这几个词组一般是不能拆开使用的。例如：

 

1. would rather

 

I would rather fail than cheat in the examination.
我宁愿考不及格，也不愿意考试作弊。

 

I would rather stay at home.
我宁可呆在家里。

 

2. had rather

 

I had rather join you in research work than go on holiday to the seaside.
我宁愿和你们一起参加科研工作，而不愿去海滨度假。

 

I had rather go on a picnic with my girl friend.
我宁愿和我的女朋友去野炊。

 

3. would sooner

 

She would sooner resign than take part in such dishonest business deals.
她宁可辞职也不愿参与这种不正当的买卖.

 

4. had sooner

 

I had sooner not continue my studies at this school.
我宁可不在这个学校继续上学了。
